The problem with hours totalizer impresize readings - is it a common problem or only was present in early models? Still choosing between Breitling B01 and cheaper chrono without vertcal clutch (Longines) for my first "real" chrono. If you look into the movement, it’s not the best Breitling has produced. Also says it’s 100M water resistant, but the crown is not screw down. On the other hand, the Blacksteel version is so sweet. I Goggle "Chronomat 44 B01 problems" and I see a plethora of results. I'm really alarmed now. After reading some of the problems of skipping, hands not working properly with seconds and such I set it on another series of tests. This post is to document a problem with my watch and hopefully get some feedback to prevent this from happening again to me or someone else. In December I purchased a New Navitimer Montbrillant Olympus. I have used the chronograph feature several times since I bought it and found it working perfectly.
It is indisputable that many members here have had their share of problems with B01 equipped pieces. Although it is expected from an 8 to 10k (or more) watch to function with no problems, and not only for 5 years, after all, it's only a mechanical movement made by humans.
