With the exhibition “ÉPIDERME”, Myriam Mihindou transforms the space of La Verrière into a site for shared experiences. Unfolding across the Foundation’s four dedicated spaces in Europe and Asia, these exhibitions often feature new work and constitute broad artistic gestures that the public are invited to discover. La Verrière in Brussels, curated by Joël Riff, is a place that play host to projects specially conceived by invited artists.Begun in 2016, “Poésie balistique” (‘Ballistic Poetry’) is the second chapter in an artistic programme created by Guillaume Désanges at La Verrière. This cycle examines the gap between the rational, pre-determined nature of conceptual art .
Curator of La Verrière, the exhibition space of the Hermès Foundation, Guillaume Désanges immerses us backstage in the space that intends to rethink the story of art.The Fondation d’entreprise Hermès’ La Verrière (Brussels), curated by Joël Riff, is part of the four galleries dedicated to art.Since 2008, the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès has worked to ensure the necessary conditions are in place to create new works of art, transmit skills and know-how, protect the environment and encourage gestures of solidarity.Reached by a tunnel, Douglas Eynon’s world unfolds on the other side of the textile work. Cloudforms, a play of mirrors and a mysterious small house offer a symbolic, dreamlike counterpoint to Mahéo’s work, in this two-person diptych.
